Poem of the Day for Today
Another good one: a bit from Shampoo and Sponge Bath by J. W. Marshall:
There was a terrifyingly large sky
that first day they rolled me
out for air.Terrifyingly.
And clouds like balled-up cobwebs.
What if the chair got caughtin a crack or on a rock—I watched for that.
And — I have been doing my own poem-a-day. I swear. I promise.
My thread’s here, for those who have forgotten.
This is my NaPo poem for yesterday:
Sevenling: April Changing
One day the wind,
one day the rain,
one day the sun knife-shining;you slap the wind,
you drown the rain,
you send cloud-sheathes sun-spinning,and stop yourself from keening.
I will catch up and post them all on the NaPo page when I can.
